As a full line electrical distributor, we offer a number of tapes from various suppliers. But our hands-down favorite for motor connections is 3M. 3M makes a quality product and offers extensive training support resources, many of which we incorporate in our programs. We prefer the tried and true standard of a cambric base layer, followed by a rubber tape, with a final application of a vinyl tape for protection. There are other newer options to choose from, but we found this to be reliable, and simple, for both low and medium voltage applications.
Easy Application and Removal

automotive wire wrap tape. The tape is typically self-adhesive, allowing for quick and hassle-free application to the wiring harnesses. It can also be easily removed without leaving behind any sticky residue or damaging the wires, making it a convenient and versatile solution for automotive wiring projects.
In larger electrical systems, where a main circuit breaker might control several sub-panels, it’s important to choose high quality electrical enclosures for all junction boxes in the system. It’s also crucial to check the NEMA and IP ratings of a breaker box, particularly if it’s being installed as part of an outdoor electrical system.

But there is more. Pros know that rubber tapes can offer more than just high voltage insulation and are often used in a variety of low voltage applications as well.
